What is a Social Innovation Summit Learning Journey?

Learning Journeys are an immersive, day-and-a-half experience to explore a specific social impact issue through the lens of a city for an invitation-only delegation of 40-50 leaders from across the country.

We partner with city/program hosts to design a journey that is comprised of about 10 stops throughout the city, which typically include a combination of meet-and-greets with city mayors and local leaders, company and field site visits, social events, and local experiences.

Most of the delegation joins from out-of-town, and among the many objectives we hope that delegates will learn lessons along the journey that they can bring back to their communities.

THIS EXPERIENCE WILL GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Explore.

Engage.

Experience.

Explore innovations that are driving social change through group discussions, interactive workshops, and behind-the-scenes site visits.

Engage industry stakeholders and share best practices and challenges in an intimate, invitation-only setting.

Experience community health equity in the local context of Chicago and identify pathways to bringing solutions to scale nationally.

Join Us In Chicago!

Rooted in our nation’s declaration of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the right to health must be treated as a right for all – not a privilege for the few. In order for communities to thrive and advance health equity, we can’t simply focus on issues around access or care; We must also ensure strong systems and structures that address the social determinants of health that buttress the promise of community and individual health.

On August 10-11, you are invited to join us in Chicago as we bring together leading executives, investors, and thought leaders for a two-day Learning Journey. You and your fellow delegation will explore the foundations of health equity, particularly how we can learn from community-based initiatives and scale those best practices across other regions and nationally.
